Gorilla supports Grassroots Football with kit sponsorship

Our Gorilla Climbing Frames key audience is children aged 3 years to 10 years. And of course we want children to be healthy and active and enjoy playing outside with their friends. This is something we are hugely invested in, and is exactly why we promote our outdoor play equipment for children. Of course then it made sense then to show our support to grassroots sports, and currently we are supporting youth football.

We are proud to have provided kit for an under 10’s school football team. The Primary School u10’s team we are supporting is made up of students from the school. The team is open to both both boys and girls. Matches and training take place at weekends and the children love being outside, in all weathers(!) and playing and working together as a team. The team were delighted to receive their kit at the start of the 2024/2025 season and it has been lovely to see them wearing their Gorilla logo with pride as they play for their school in a mixture of friendly and league matches.

Grassroots sport is so important for young players. It helps to establish communication and cooperation, as well as foster supportive friendships with a common end goal in place. Competitiveness, fairness and resilience are all developed when grassroots sports take place. Children learn about socialisation, turn taking, supporting one another and maintaining a healthy active lifestyle. Very similar attributes are developed when playing outside on a climbing frame with friends or siblings.
